Stage 3 of the show-reel is a double character interaction performance set to dialogue. I decided to take dialogue from the elevator scene in (500) Days of Summer, mainly because there's not a crazy amount of dialogue so I can focus more on animating the interaction. And ya know, The Smiths.

Below are my pre-production sheets. ^_^

Animatics for Stage 2. ^_^

I'm animating with just an armature for this one, so I felt like I could get away with drawing a stick-man.

Now onto the final project pre-production!
For Stage 1 of the showreel I have to do three basic exercises, two human, one animal.
I've decided to do a happy walk, a hop-scotch (making LAV's fun) and a rabbit hopping.

Here are some thumbnails for the human exercises. :}

Researching rabbits was the best. Spent a lot of my time watching youtube videos or at Pets At Home. THEIR EARS :D

For the Minor Project, we were given a child's drawing along with a voice clip they chose to animate.
I have no idea why the child decided to draw a German flag. The drawing seems uncomfortably familiar to The Boy In The Stripe Pyjamas... but oh well! (Child's drawing, below left. See what I mean?!)

And that's most of the Pre-Production! So here's the build. I didn't finish making before the deadline, hence why it's all so messy and rushed. And I suck at making, but ah well, all part of the learning process. ^_^

Looks like I took a bit of a break from blogging.. (About four months... oops!)
Anyway, I suppose I'll show you what I've done so far in second year!

First project we were given was to storyboard an advert. I chose the Siri advert with Zooey Deschanel.
